Promoting Aeronautical Professions to High School Students in Skopje
“Sky for All” (Небо за сите) is an educational outreach initiative developed and launched by the AVICON Association for advancement in Aviation. The project was specifically designed to introduce dynamic, high-potential career paths in aviation to high school students across the city of Skopje.
Supported by the City of Skopje – Department of Education, and in partnership with airport operator TAV Macedonia, the project brought industry insights directly into classrooms, connecting students with the real-world operational and technical facets of civil and military aviation.
Outreach & Participating Schools
In honor of the upcoming 6th edition of the SKOPJE AIR FAIR, AVICON symbolically selected 6 prominent high schools across Skopje, engaging with junior and senior students (11th and 12th grades):
- SUGS “Nikola Karev”
- ASUC “Vlado Tasevski”
- SETUGS “Mihajlo Pupin”
- SUGS “Georgi Dimitrov”
- SUGS “Boro Petrusevski”
- SUGS “Vasil Antevski – Dren”
Through these interactive sessions, hundreds of students gained direct insight into the required skills, educational pathways, licensing processes, and day-to-day responsibilities within the aviation ecosystem.
Key Project Objectives & Opportunities
- Inspiration & Career Awareness: Introducing students to the full spectrum of aviation professions—including air traffic control, piloting, aeronautical engineering, ground handling, security, and airport management and many more.
- Demystifying the Industry: Presenting aviation as an accessible, highly achievable, and rewarding career path both locally and internationally.
- Hands-on Event Involvement: Students were presented with the opportunity to join the organizational team as volunteers for the upcoming 6th SKOPJE AIR FAIR, gaining hands-on experience in event coordination and aviation public relations.
- Exclusive Airport Field Trip: As a special incentive, the most enthusiastic and engaged participants will be invited on an exclusive field trip at the end of November. Students will experience operations firsthand from both the apron view and the air traffic control tower view.
