What can we expect?
Both military and civilian aircraft from the region will participate in making air choreographies attractive for viewers of every age. Macedonian aircraft have already started practicing.
Three firefighting aircraft AT-802A Fire Boss of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, helicopters Bell 206, Bell 212, Bell 412 and Mi-171 of the Macedonian police Helicopter Unit, The Macedonian Government business aircraft Learjet 60 as well as the Macedonian military aircraft Mi-17 transport helicopter were announced in the programme.
The Serbian Air Force is sending the Lasta V-54 training aircraft, two MiG-29 multi-purpose fighter planes, as well as the H145M light multi-purpose helicopter.
The Italians are also sending their aircraft, in flight over Stenkovec, and the spectators will be able to see two Eurofighter EF-2000 multipurpose combat aircraft, as well as the C-27J Spartan transporter. The third foreign military participant is Greece, which should be present in the flying part of the program with three F-16 fighter planes.
One passenger plane will also fly at the event – the celebration will be magnified by the Wizzair company and their Airbus A320, which is also stationed in Macedonia.
Aero club Skopje also invited the famous demo team The Flying Bulls, who should arrive with the T-28 Trojan plane and the BO-105 helicopter. Among the other foreign “civilians” there is the Extra-330SC aerobatic plane, and the Retro Sky Team demo group from Slovakia, which flies on Yak-52, Zlin 226, Zlin 326 and Zlin 526 planes, will certainly be interesting. It is interesting that the aircraft of this group are painted in the colors and with markings of aircraft from the Second World War, as well as that the group performs simulations of air combat and action against targets on the ground, which is usually evoked with pyrotechnics.
Blanik L23 gliders, Cessna 172, Cessna 182, Citabria, Pipistrel Alpha Trainer, Pipistrel Virus SW, Utva-75, P.68, SILA 450C, PA-28 Archer are expected from Macedonian aero-clubs, as well as from private owners PA-28 Arrow, Mooney M20K and An-2…
This will be a true celebration for all the people that have aviation in their hearts.
